Workout for the Throat

Silent Sleep Training is like a visit to the fitness center for your throat. With Silent Sleep Training, you have a personal trainer who supports and motivates you during each session. For a fun and effective workout, we have integrated gamification. Success in the games will not only reward you with points and badges but also with better health and restful sleep.

Making Training Visible

The effect of Silent Sleep Training can be visualized using an MRI scan. The scans show a cross-section of a throat. Fat deposits, which everyone has regardless of body shape, are marked in green. These play an important role in sleep apnea as the weight further presses on the throat.

Before Treatment
The fat deposits are shown in green and the unstable throat area in blue.
After Treatment
The fat deposits in green were reduced by 40% and the stabilized throat area is shown in blue.

It's Not the Sound That Matters

The medical didgeridoo creates a slight air pressure in the throat when played. With the playing technique you learn, you work against this air pressure and use it as resistance, similar to weight lifting.

Therapy Process

Silent Sleep Training is divided into four phases. After completing the third phase, you will only need 30 minutes per month to maintain your throat muscles.

Phase 1

In the first phase of Silent Sleep Training, you will learn everything you need to know to successfully perform the training. The course lasts two to seven days and is structured in a step-by-step guide that easily leads you through the exercises. At the end of the course, you are ready for the training phase, where you put what you have learned into practice.

Phase 2

In the training phase, you train your throat muscles to prevent the collapse of the airways during sleep. This phase lasts between three and six months. During this time, you need to train six times a week for 15 minutes each session.

Phase 3

After the training phase, you start the stabilization phase. In this phase, we stabilize your achieved success. This phase lasts eight weeks and you should train twice a week for 15 minutes each with the app.

Phase 4

To keep your throat muscles trained, you should have a training session with the app two to four times a month, each lasting 15 minutes. With this minimal effort, you prevent a recurrence of your sleep apnea.
